I am looking for some Babysitting jobs to make some money as a job but the only place I can think of to look is on craigslist but there really wasnt anything on there. So was jus wondering if anyone knew any websites to visit to help me look for some?

You can register at WalMart, Target, Babies R Us, Burlington Coat Factory, etc.

I pay our babysitters $8/hour for one child and add $1-2 with each additional child.

I love Andrew – but that’s my son’s name – Andrew Skyler. We’re trying to get pregnant with #2 at the moment and if it’s a girl either Kiersa or Gabrielle, if it’s a boy we’re undecided. However, I love Tyler, Colton, and Darin.

My friend and I are 15, American Red Cross certified, and are going to get our driver’s liscense in just a few months. We will be Babysitting together unless the other is out of town or busy. We are going to watch 2 months-10 years of age and are charging $5 an hour for 1 child + $2 for each child after that. Does that sound reasonable to you?

So you watch my kid for $5 hr? That sounds like a good deal, unless you mean that there ill be other kids too? And I REALLY don’t want a 15-16 year old to drive my kid anywhere

My parents told me if i wanted to baby sit i needed by law to take a Babysitting course. True or False? I dont believe them.

yes, if you want to do this on a professional level you should check with your city to see what types of certifications and or permits that need to be held in order to have a child care busines..and taking a course would definitly be required..whether or not you are doing this for a business or not. you can learn alot, i’d say it’s better to know how and not do it, than need to do it and not know how.

I’m 14 looking at baby sitting 1-3 children aged 1-12 year olds maybe a bit younger they are families we know quit well and it would be fridays, saturdays, sundays and school holidays
most of the families live locally or are acessable by public transport

I have children aged between 8yrs and 4 yrs old – for someone of your age I would expect to pay between $10 – $15 p/h

If it was purely – keep them entertained and out of trouble for a few hours during the day $10 but if it included you having to do things such between the hours of 5pm – 8pm (ie dinner, bath, bed, stories, clean-up kitchen after meals etc then definately $15p/h)

If it is an evening that is going to be late then $15 p/h (ie not home until 11pm or later)…. and this would 100% (given your age) also mean taking you home!!!

Me and my friend want to start babysitting for a little extra cash. We hung up flyers and even gave them to some select people. How else could we get a job? Also, if you could, please give me some tips and tricks on babysitting, that would be greatly appreciated!

I think you have done pretty much everything you can to find yourselves some clients. Most families already have steady babysitters, so they are most likely going to call them first. What you can do to improve your chances of becoming one of their babysitters is to make them love you when you DO babysit for them. I would reccomend asking your friends, siblings, cousins, and anyone else you can think of to reccomend you for Babysitting jobs you can not take.

I checked a few websites and you either have to be 16+, 17+ or 18+ to join them. I’m certified in the Red Cross Babysitting course, and I have experience with my cousin, my friends brothers, and my friends sisters.

Word of mouth.

Ask your parents if they know anyone who has children who may need a baby sitter. If you are a member of a church, ask around there or if you’re allowed ask them to put it in the bulletin (or a notice board). Print up a few flyers and put them in neighbours’ mailboxes.

People are more comfortable with hiring someone they know, or someone who at least lives in their neighbourhood.
